China Slant Drilling in the Keys
I kind of like Jon Christian Ryter. He makes alot of good points. But just when you think he's halfway intelligent he throws crap like this at you:
REMEMBER THE FLORIDA 'CHAD' FIASCO?
I take the position that if you do not even mention DBT and Choicepoint in your discussions of Florida 2000, then you are unequivacably a neocon shill.
It's hard to read anything posted by such an obvious shill, but nonetheless he's right about at least half the things he writes.
But this latest story... I don't know how to take it. I couldn't find any other source on the story of China slant drilling in the US. So I can't really comment on whether or not China IS actually slant drilling into Florida. But anyway, here's a link to his story:
CHINA DRILLS 50 MILES FROM KEY WEST
lol it's those damn whacko enviromentalists ruining everything. It's the enviromentalists who sent all our jobs over to China! It's the enviromentalists who gave China so much of our industry that they are now forced to scrounge for resources all over the world in order to feed our insatiable need for cheap goods! What a joke.
It's basically all our fault. If you've ever shopped at Walmart you're responsible for where we are now. If you think about it, real diehard enviromentalists are actually least worthy of blame, because they would certainly boycott Chinese goods. No enviromentalist worth his salt would buy anything made in China. Obviously there aren't many trueblood enviromentalists out there!
The really funny thing is that, if you think about it, it's a very heartwarming gesture... what China is reportedly doing. Drilling our oil for us? Aww how sweet. They know we don't want to actually build anything here in America, and we seem to have no problem with buying all our stuff from China, so isn't it natural for them to assume that we want them to take our oil too? lol. (If you've got a problem with this analysis then I guess I'll see you standing in front of Walmart with a picket sign, right?)
I don't know, this Ryter dude is like some kind of Jekyll and Hyde. Sometimes he makes sense, and other times he's just a monster.
I've attacked two of his articles so to be fair I guess I should post something I agree with.
WHAT DO AMERICAN'S WANT?
Isn't that amazing? Clearly he can be lucid some of the time. It's hard to believe that came from the same person who attacks Clinton and Gore and enviromentalists while giving Bush an apparent free pass. I don't know... maybe it's just his schtick...

CHINA DRILLS 50 MILES FROM KEY WEST
If the United States decided to drill for oil 50 miles off the coast of China, we would be embroiled in WWIII overnight. Thanks to wacko environmentalist Congressmen and Senators using the Environmental Protection Agency [EPA] to stymie drilling along the continental shelf of the United States...

WHAT DO AMERICAN'S WANT?
Nations—and the consumers within those nations have a choice. They can have an upscale standard of living, or they can have cheap goods. They can't have both although the greedier we are the more reasonable that myth becomes. Because of our penchant for the proverbial bargain, we have watched the taskmasters of the New World Order deliberately break the industrial back of America and watch as, one by one, America's premier industries, have closed their doors in America and transferred the core of their manufacturing to Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan, and the emerging economies of Central and South America.
...
What do Americans want? They want politicians to stop lying to them. They want politicians to protect their country from the transnational profiteers who are creating a global new world order controlled by greedy men who want to send our jobs to the emerging nations
